Our Core Values

Skyform Group is a company with a multitude of operations in several sectors of the construction industry. We design, implement and execute our services, taking under consideration, quality, Health and Safety, and respect to the environment. Skyform actively believes in the localisation of human resources and seeks to engage actively with local communities, in order to ensure that our clients’ projects involve the local community and end users throughout the contract process.

Our commitment to deliver projects with our core values at the heart of each project can be demonstrated by our achievements/projects, accreditations and memberships, and of course our clients.

Quality

Skyform Specialist Contracts is accredited to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and operate a quality management system to ensure all aspects of the company are operating to the highest possible standards. We also employ experienced quality managers to visit each site and ensure the workmanship is excellent prior to work being presented to clients.

Health and Safety

Health and Safety is a top priority within our company and we demonstrate through our audited OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety management System. We employ an in-house Health and Safety co-ordinator to manage all Health and Safety training and operations on a daily basis. We also audit our Health and Safety rigorously by having external auditors visit all of our live sites fortnightly to ensure high standards are maintained.

Environmental

Skyform is ISO 14001:2018 certified and are environmentally aware and responsible in everything we do. We continually strive to improve our excelling environmental status and intend to measure our carbon footprint this year. With the view of improving year to year whilst also expanding our company.

Training

Continuous learning and development for all our employees is a fundamental component of Skyform Specialist Contracts Ltd’s success. It is part of Skyform Specialist Contracts Ltd’s policy standard to actively plan, encourage and assist in the training, re-training, and career development of all its employees. Skyform Specialist Contracts Ltd considers learning and development to be an essential factor in creating a safe, professional, progressive and efficient organisation.

The Skyform Training Policy sets out our responsibilities and for those working for us in relation to learning and development and to provide information and guidance to those working for us on the opportunities available for career development.

This policy standard applies to all employees working at all levels and grades (whether permanent, fixed term or temporary). Every employee and their respective line manager are jointly responsible for the employee’s learning and development. These learning and development requirements will form part of, but not limited to, the discussions held as part of the individual’s objective setting and performance and development review process.

Skyform employs all of our own operatives from the local workforce and believe that training and skill development of our staff is the key to the success of our business. At present we employ 80 staff and site tradesmen and work closely with CITB to ensure staff have the best skills and training available. We also work closely with the manufacturer of products including Fosroc, Weber, Sika, Alumasc, Liquid Plastics Structherm to ensure our staff receives the correct training from them to maintain our approved applicator status.

PAS – 2030 - REMOVE?

Skyform have recently been certified to PAS 2030. This audited system (by BSI) is designed for installing, managing and providing energy efficiency measures (EEM) in existing buildings. It also recommends best practice for managing the installation process and providing services to the customer before, during and after. The Green Deal creates a financing mechanism that will allow a range of energy efficiency measures to be installed in both domestic and non-domestic buildings at no upfront cost. Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) will be using this PAS. The PAS 2030 system also allows and approves Skyform to carry out large scale energy measure works under schemes such as CESP and upcoming ECO schemes.

  • Formed in 1989, the CRA is committed to promoting and developing the practice of concrete repair and allied disciplines, as well as advancing education, technical training and health & safety matters in this specialist construction sector.Member companies include specialist contractors, product manufacturers and product distributors established in the field of concrete repair, as well as associated organisations, such as testing laboratories.

    Each full specialist contractor and product manufacturer member must be able to demonstrate a proven track record and overall proven ability. They are also obliged to be Q.A. Accredited to ISO 9000:2000 and BS EN 14001 (Environmental Standard) to conform to the Association’s Codes of Practice and Training requirements. By setting such self-regulating standards and procedures, engineers, authorities, clients and other specifiers are able to select from established professional organisations for concrete repair projects.

  • Corrosion Prevention, Cathodic Protection for Concrete and Masonry Encased Steel, UK. The Corrosion Prevention Association represents consultants, contractors and manufacturers working in the field of corrosion prevention for reinforced concrete and masonry encased steel.The CPA acts as the leading authority and source of information on the subject of cathodic protection, and other electrochemical treatments including realkalisation, desalination, chloride extraction, corrosion inhibitors and the use of galvanic and impressed current anodes in cathodic protection systems. The CPA aims to ensure a greater understanding of the preservation of reinforced concrete structures and masonry clad steel framed buildings.

  • The Sprayed Concrete Association was originally formed in 1976 by a small group of leading Gunite Contractors. Although the Association has grown considerably, the Members remain committed to the following aims:

    • Promote and develop the practice of sprayed concrete

    • Produce and maintain specification and codes of practice

    • Educate and train in the use and techniques of sprayed concrete

    Promote discussions and technical exchange of information to advance the technology of sprayed concrete Recognising that the quality of sprayed concrete and its reputation is dependent on the operatives in the field, the Association has worked closely with CITB to introduce an NVQ for operatives

  • The Specialist Access Engineering and Maintenance Association (SAEMA) is the National organisation for the Permanent and Temporarily Installed Façade Access Equipment Industry.

    SAEMA is a member of the National Specialist Contractors Council (NSCC) and is affiliated to The National Access & Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) and S. A. E. M. A. members operate throughout the UK and in many cases on a world-wide basis.
