A companywide Quality System is in operation which is designed to comply with the requirements of BS/EN/ISO 9001:2015.
The ISO system defines the commitments of the company, and the complementary Quality Procedures and Method Statements detail the methods that are employed to ensure Customer Satisfaction.
Health and Safety Policy
All Health and Safety Policies are communicated to all staff members during the initial safety inductions held for all employees by the HSEQ Manager.
All site operations and offices have the current polices and communications boards in all staff meeting rooms and welfare cribs, the communications boards informs all personnel of any issues or other events that may affect their working areas.
As per our BS OHSAS 18001 Management System 1.1.7 Consultation, Communication and Reporting Employees shall be consulted on HSE issues through company and site inductions as well as weekly tool box talks (SKY-HSE-F11) and safety meetings. This consultation shall be documented and recorded by the appropriate staff and shall be made available to interested parties. The company shall ensure that the appropriate level of skill, competency or training is available to staff involved with HSE management issues.
All communication meetings and reports are submitted to our HSEQ Manager and also the relevant Project Management Group members for comment. The communication reports are then placed within the Safety Management system and filled.
Externally we are audited once every month by Safety Scotland who reports back directly to the Managing Director. This is to ensure that all systems including all site communications are correct and in place as per our Safety Management Systems and Construction Safety Phase Plans.

Environmental Policy
Skyform promises to reduce our impact on the natural environment when we design, build, repair and manage facilities. Skyform ensures that our organisation’s environmental footprint is minimal by following, adhering and updating our environmental policy. We maintain a proactive and positive attitude to environmental issues, seeking to minimise any potential harmful effects of our business activities on the environment while we seek to develop a sustainable approach to our daily operations.

Improve management procedures and working techniques to avoid environmental pollution.
Minimise noise pollution, dust pollution, ambient disturbance and inconvenience.

We have a very efficient control natural resources control and we encourage our clients to use of sustainable materials.
We encourage recycling and we promote the use of recycled and recyclable materials to our clients.
We work with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to reduce the environmental impact of projects.
We seek to inform local communities on our environmental approached to works.
This Policy states the commitment of Senior Management and members of the organisation to the implementation and maintenance of waste management, recycling and other sustainability procedures to control and minimise impact on the overall environment. Skyform accepts responsibility for controlling spillage and waste materials resulting from plant and maintenance activities by inspection, reporting and follow up of any hazard or risk identified.
The company acknowledges its environmental responsibility towards employees, those persons who visit its premises and the general public.
Every employee of Skyform has a responsibility for conducting him or herself in a safe working manner, ensuring no negative impact on the environment or health of others. Employees must wear applicable safety clothing, use appropriate equipment and personally ensure activities comply with Jurisdictional Acts/Regulations, Codes, British / European Standards and ISO 14001 by reporting unsafe work practices, places, equipment, processes or situations.
Managers, Yard/Site Managers and Supervisors have the additional responsibility of monitoring the work environment, identifying training and equipment needs, record keeping, implementing work procedures and investigating incidents as related to the applicable Environmental Legislation
Skyform has appointed HSE Managers and Advisors who have defined Environmental, Health and Safety authority and responsibilities.

Skyform ensure that our organisation assesses and includes sustainability within our supply chain at the procurement process by following, adhering and updating our sustainable procurement policy.

We endeavour to exceed client/consumer expectations, by offering quality projects on time, with safety in mind taking under consideration the local, economic, social and environmental effects of our activities. We promote environmentally friendly solutions, to traditional client construction requests by procuring materials of high recycled content and greener construction methods. In Skyform we recognise that our projects, have a direct impact to local communities and the environment. We promise to minimise any disruption effects during our operations while in the same time maintain constant communication with our clients, end users and stakeholders, aiming to make a positive contribution to the local community. Whether the project is to repair a school, insulate a local authority building, or upgrade neighbourhood tenements, we see our projects as our permanent ambassadors to the local community. This “passive” local contribution provides us with the satisfaction that besides our business interaction with the local authorities, we leave a positive mark on the community wall.

In Skyform we believe in localisation of human resources. In contrast with other companies, we seek to subcontract local suppliers and experts where this is needed, as we recognise the positive effect of using local resources, brings to the local economy. In Skyform we also seek to support the long term unemployed and give them first consideration in our recruitment process. We recruit to a policy which aims to identify potential in every individual. Skyform also actively supports youth employment and offers opportunities for further development and training. We have employed many school leavers in the last three years. We strive to educate and train young apprentices and seek to steer them in the direction of an SVQ qualification depending on the placement and support they need. This policy applies to all employees of Skyform Specialist Contracts, Wind & ECO Division. The policy applies equally to all employees irrespective of their employment status, function, grade or location.

It is the responsibility of the Managing Director to:
identify and consider training and development as an integral part of the strategic planning process;
provide adequate resources for training and development across the company;
evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of training and development; and
Monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of this policy.
It is the responsibility of Senior Contracts Manager to:
ensure that the training and development needs of all employees are assessed and provided for in accordance with this policy; and
Agree and provide appropriate and cost effective training and development solutions.
All employees are responsible for:
Identifying their own training and development needs and bringing these to the attention of their appointed Site Supervisor.
undertaking training and development activities which will enable them to perform their work efficiently and effectively; and
Managing their own learning and professional updating.
take reasonable care of their own safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts (what they do) or their omissions (what they fail to do)
Have a duty to co-operate with reasonable demands placed on them by their employer in their attempts to comply with their legal duties;
Have a duty not to misuse anything provided by you for their health and safety
Have a duty to bring to your attention anything they feel could affect health and safety and about which you may not be aware.

Overall responsibility for the operation of this policy lies with the Senior Contracts Manager. The effectiveness of the policy will be monitored by our Managing Director.

Training and development will be provided only where needs exist. Our Senior Contracts Manager will identify the training needs of their employees. Training and development needs, once identified will be collated centrally and priorities assessed. All training and development activities must be approved in writing, in advance by a Company Director. Attendance on external training and development courses, including day release courses, requires further written approval, in advance, by a Company Director.

The Financial Director will determine the annual budget available and formulate a strategy for the deployment and expenditure of available resources.

All new entrants to the company will receive appropriate induction training. Staff transferring within the company will be provided with an appropriate local induction, which will include the identification of appropriate training and development needs.

All employees will be given adequate health and safety training, including information on emergency procedures, before they start work. The need for health and safety training will be reassessed on a regular basis and in particular when there has been a change in operating procedures. Retraining and/or refresher training will be provided whenever necessary.

All training and development activities will be evaluated. At company level, the Senior Contracts Manager will be responsible for evaluating all training and development activities against the company’s strategy and goals on an annual basis.
At local level, appointed Site Supervisors will validate and evaluate training and development activities on an ongoing basis, to ensure their relevance, added value and best practice.
